Residential Carpet Cleaning

C3 uses two types of pricing for Residential Carpet Cleaning.  The first method is for quoting empty homes.  The second is for occupied homes with furniture and possessions in place.

Empty Dwellings

Empty dwellings are quoted by measuring all of the carpet that can be cleaned and then multiplying the total square footage by the cleaning rate, dependent on amount of soiling.

For normal or average soils, the rate per square foot is:  20 cents per square foot.

For heavy or unique soils, the rate per square foot is:  23 cents per square foot.

Staircases are priced based on the number and size of steps, landings and turns.
Prices typically range from $40 to $75.

Pricing includes preconditioning for the soils that are present.  Spots are extra, see below.

Occupied Dwellings

Homes that are occupied are priced based on the size of each room/area to be cleaned.

Room sizes are defined by a Tier level and pricing applies to all rooms within that size range.

Tier 1     -     Rooms up to 135 total square feet     -     $25

Tier 2     -     Rooms up to 275 total square feet     -     $43

Tier 3     -     Rooms up to 375 total square feet     -     $60

Tier 4     -     Rooms over 376 total square feet are custom priced at 18 cents per square foot.

Staircases are priced based on the number and size of steps, landings and turns.
Prices typically range from $40 to $75.  Hallways are typically between $0-$30.

Pricing includes preconditioning for the soils that are present.  Spots are extra, see below

Prices do not include vacuuming prior to cleaning.  All carpet must be dry vacuumed prior to cleaning in order to remove as much non water soluble soils and debris as possible.  A charge for vacuuming will be added if it is needed prior to cleaning.  The charge is based on how much carpet is to be cleaned.

All Carpet Cleaning is performed with a dual-head rotary power wand except when the style of carpet does not allow this type of tool to be used.  These cases are very rare.

Area rugs cannot be quoted in a generic way.  It is necessary to evaluate each rug based on size, soiling, spotting, and most importantly, what type of material it is made of.

Commercial Carpet Cleaning

Commercial carpet cleaning cannot be quoted in a generic fashion.  The wide range of commercial carpeting, along with the method of installation and types of soils encountered, require an on-site quote.  In most cases, the quote will be based on square footage to be cleaned.  In some cases, it is more practical to break it down by room similar to the "Occupied Dwelling" method described in the Residential Carpet Cleaning section.

Spotting charges for Commercial cleaning are the same as for Residential cleaning.

Spot Treatments

In most cases, typical spots will come out during cleaning without any special treatments.  The chemistry used in the pre-conditioners and in the cleaning solution are sufficient to do the job.
However, when more stubborn spots are present, it is necessary to use the proper product and technique to remove the problem as described below.

Pet waste spots, food spills and other protein based spots are treated at $3.00 per area.

Paint, oil, tar, wax, gum and others that require solvents are treated at $6.00 per area.

An area is defined as a group of related spots that can fit into the area of a dinner plate.

Red-dye stains:  These are usually called "Kool-Aid" stains.  Treatment for these stains require a special, two-part chemistry application, followed by a steam and towel removal process.  Due to the technique required and time involved, these stains are $25.00 per area.

Carpet Protectant Application

C3 uses DuPont Teflon for protectant application.  This proven product is safe and effective.

For rooms that have just been cleaned and are not dry, application is 18 cents per sq. ft.

For rooms that are clean and have already completely dried, the rate is 28 cents per sq. ft.

Note:  If the protectant is applied immediately following the cleaning, it takes less product to penetrate the wet carpet fibers.  Since less Teflon is needed, the cost drops significantly.
